About

Klondike Solitaire is a single-player game with a standard 52-card deck. You start with seven tableau columns, with only the top card in each column face up. Your goal is to move every card to four foundations, building each suit from Ace to King. On the tableau, you arrange cards in descending order and alternate red and black.

Choose Draw 1 or Draw 3 in the new game menu. Both modes allow unlimited passes through the stock. You can undo moves without a limit or ask for a hint when you need another look at the board. A timer, move counter and score let you follow your game.

How to play

  1. Look for exposed Aces and move them to the foundations, starting one pile for each suit.
  2. Build tableau columns downward in alternating colours, placing a red card on a black card or a black card on a red card.
  3. Move a face-up run together when its leading card fits the destination. Uncovered face-down cards turn over automatically.
  4. Fill an empty tableau column with a King, either alone or leading a face-up run.
  5. Draw from the stock to the waste, one or three cards at a time according to your chosen mode. When the stock runs out, recycle the waste.
  6. Tap or click a card to send it to its best place, or use drag and drop. Keyboard play is also supported.
  7. Keep building foundations by suit up to King. Use Finish once the remaining game can be completed with foundation moves.

Tips

  • Look for moves that uncover face-down cards before drawing again.
  • Check that you have an available King before making plans for an empty column.
  • Use undo to compare different ways of moving a face-up run.
  • Try the hint button when you cannot see another move.
  • Watch your score when returning cards from foundations or recycling the waste, as both carry penalties.
